Riverside Law Group Secures Bench Trial Victory in Public Records Act Suit

On December 8 & 9, 2022, Riverside Law Group’s Casey Bruner served as co-counsel in a Public Records Act bench trial. He was asked to assist on the case shortly before the trial date after the prior co-counsel needed to withdraw. Casey was asked to assist in the trial due to his trial experience and his knowledge of Washington's Public Records Act. On February 24, 2023, the trial court issued its decision in favor of Riverside Law Group’s client, the requestor, and held that the government defendant failed to timely provide public records and timely respond to public records requests. The victory marks Riverside Law Group's third trial victory since its formation in November 2022. Riverside Law Group prevailed in a partnership and employment dispute in November 2022 and in a federal jury trial regarding constitutional violations in January and February 2023.
