Erica is an experienced litigator who focuses on defending hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers against claims of medical negligence.  In addition to trying jury and bench trials to verdict, Erica has successfully briefed and argued appellate matters in the Washington State Court of Appeals.  Erica devotes a significant part of her practice to representing physicians and other health care providers before administrative and disciplinary boards, including the Washington Medical Commission.  In addition, Erica advises and defends hospitals in credentialing and medical staff privileges matters.  Erica has a specific focus and interest in health care technology, including assisting hospitals with third-party subpoenas for medical records and inspections of electronic health records systems.  Erica also frequently represents physicians and others who are subpoenaed to testify as treating health care providers.   

After earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School, Erica clerked for Justice Jim Johnson and Justice Barbara Madsen of the Washington State Supreme Court.

Erica was born and raised in North Idaho and graduated high school from Gonzaga Prep in Spokane.  Erica is honored to raise her family in Eastern Washington where she has the privilege of supporting the area’s first-class health care system.
